Agustina Lazarte
Visual artist and Bachelor of Fine Arts from the National University of (UNT), she lives in Tucumán, her place of origin and the starting point from which she approaches painting as a critical tool.
She learned to walk in order to become a flâneur, and since then she has wandered urban spaces as fields for observation and reflection. She works with painting for its historical weight—linked to hegemonic and dominant narratives—but approaches it from a perspective that seeks to challenge that tradition and give visibility to the marginal. Her works are not meant to be gentle: they are figurative scenes that confront the viewer and denounce the invisibility of excluded bodies and untold stories.
In 2024, she participated in the José Nardín Painting Salon (Santa Fe) and served as a juror for the Painting Contest at the Bella Vista Multicultural Gathering (Tucumán).
In 2023, she received a Finalist Mention in the Fundación Federada Painting Contest (Rosario) and curated the exhibition Maquinaria para habitar dos paisajes by Micaela Torres.
She has been selected in numerous national salons since 2018 and received several recognitions, including the Incentive Award at the Salón Tucumán (2020).
She held solo exhibitions at the Virla Cultural Center: Sábado en casa (2019) and Cajón abierto (2022).
In 2021, she participated in the workshop The Disputed Image, led by Luis María Rojas.
Artista visual y Licenciada en Artes Plásticas por la UNT, vive en Tucumán, su territorio de origen y punto de partida para pensar la pintura como herramienta crítica.
Aprendió a caminar para ser flâneur y desde entonces recorre lo urbano como espacio de observación y reflexión. Trabaja con la pintura por su carga histórica, ligada a lo hegemónico y dominante, pero desde una mirada que busca tensar esa tradición para dar visibilidad a lo marginal. Sus obras no buscan ser amables: son escenas figurativas que interpelan, que denuncian la invisibilidad de los cuerpos y relatos excluidos.
En 2024 participó del Salón de Pintura José Nardín (Santa Fe) y fue jurado del Concurso de Pintura en el Encuentro Multicultural Bella Vista (Tucumán).
En 2023 recibió Mención Finalista en el Concurso de Pintura Fundación Federada (Rosario) y curó la muestra "Maquinaria para habitar dos paisajes" de Micaela Torres.
Fue seleccionada en numerosos salones nacionales desde 2018 y obtuvo reconocimientos como el Premio Incentivo del Salón Tucumán (2020).
Realizó muestras individuales en el Centro Cultural Virla: "Sábado en casa" (2019) y "Cajón abierto" (2022). En 2021 participó en la clínica “La imagen en disputa” dictada por Luis María Rojas.
